1. Grey winter day without snow

  2. 18th February 2012 - Minneapolis - Timberwolves Game. Visca els catalans! :)

Very tight game, but they finally won!

  3. We got some snow finally, but it didn’t last much… Just the necessary to experiment the squeecking noise under my feet.

    January 2012

  4. Warm and cold at the same place. Minnesota up north. End of the year.

  5. Celebrate New Year’s Eve three times

The first with my parents at the Spanish time (7 hours before)

The second with my host family so we could eat the grapes

The third watching the ball drop

    Intercultural experience!

  6. What Christmas looks like in Minnesota

Gathering with the family on the 24th, having a “food bar” with plenty of food, having Santa with us talking with kids, going home at 10 and wrap up presents while the family is at church.

Going to bed late (1.30 am) after a long chat with some of the members of the family (the rest was already sleeping), waking up with sore throat, drink coffee (this time I really need it!!), open presents, skype with my family, eat waffles with wipped cream, syrup and blueberries.

Talk, chat, wonder around the house (or I should say “sit around the house”…?), eat lunch, sit, sleep, watch old slides from the family, eat dinner, sit, read a bit, sit, have a beer and end up playing cards and eating corn chips with cheddar spicy creamy mixture.

00.25 am. Another Christmas day. Gone. But in a different way :) Eventhough it is all about eating and gathering together with your family… No canelons tomorrow! And no snow :’(

  7. Friendship in the distance makes you do things you never made before

    1. To wake up at 5 am to speak with one of my best friends through Skype

    2. To film a friki video about your daily life as a Christmas Present

    3. To freak out because your laptop is running out of battery and you didn’t bring the charger with you, and you had to meet with that friend at that time.

    4. To spend one hour writing an e-mail

    5. To publish in a tumblr

    6. To look for flights between home and US (in that sense, so you can tell them it’s very cheap and try to convince them to visit).

    7. To think “My friend would love to do this with me”

    8. To speak to some friend who has just arrived from a crazy party night when you are just about to go to bed.

    9. To send thousands of postcards, even if they are going to arrive late for Christmas.

    10. To go to the post office regularly and buy between 10 and 20 stamps for Spain at once.

and I’m sure there are more, but ten sounds like a good number to me!

  8. And that’s December in Northfield, MN…
